One issue: You wrote that C# package system is "Windows DLLs - can be painful".
In fact these .NET dlls are assemblies, which are different from win32. In fact, the only similarity is the extension. And YES - assemblies are here to make you forget about dll hell!

Acknowledge that Apache/mod_wsgi on Windows has no daemon mode and that that isn't about to change, so application pools in IIS do sound quite interesting.

For those who don't have a choice and have to use Apache, worthwhile pointing out:

 http://blog.dscpl.com.au/2009/02/source-code-reloading-with-modwsgi-on.html
 http://code.google.com/p/modwsgi/wiki/ReloadingSourceCode#Restarting_Windows_Apache

One of the features of daemon mode of mod_wsgi is the ability to easily have the application be reloaded without having to restart Apache as a whole. One can't avoid that on Windows, but with the recipe described in those links, one can use some slight of hand to at least make it automatic during the development phase.

You got some of your C# info wrong.

C# does in fact have map, reduce, and filter.

C# also has closures.

C# will have optional parameters in version 4.0

@Developer: Not necessarily. I put it on there because the language has it. As for whether or not that's a good thing would be the subject of another blog post.
